ကနိုးပတ် (Canopus) (/kəˈnoʊpəs/)[၁၀]သည် တောင်ဘက်ကောင်းကင်ယံ ကရိနာ ကြယ်စုတန်းရှိ အတောက်ပဆုံးကြယ်နှင့် ညဘက်ကောင်းကင်တွင် ဆိုင်ရပ်စ်ပြီးလျင် ဒုတိယမြောက် အတောက်ပဆုံးကြယ်ဖြစ်သည်။ နေမှ အလင်းနှစ် ၃၁၀ ကွာဝေးသောအရပ်တွင် တည်ရှိသည်။ ယင်းအား ပကတိမျက်စိဖြင့်ကြည့်ပါက အဖြူရောင်အဖြစ် မြင်ရသည်။ ကြယ်သည် နေထက် ၈ ဆ ပိုကြီးပြီး နေ၏အချင်းဝက်ထက် ၇၁ ဆ ရှိကာ နေထက် အဆပေါင်း ၁၀၀၀၀ ပိုမိုတောက်ပသည်။ ကြယ်၏ ကြီးမားလာသော ဖိုတိုစဖီးယားလွှာတွင် အပူချိန်သည် ၇၄၀၀ ကယ်လဗင် ခန့်ရှိနေပြီး ဗဟိုအူတိုင်တွင် ဟီလီယံဓာတ်ငွေ့များ လောင်ကျွမ်းလျက်ရှိနေပြီဖြစ်သည်။ ထို့ကြောင့် ယင်းကြည်သည် ဧရာမ ကြယ်နီအဖြစ်သို့ ကူးပြောင်းခဲ့ပြီးဖြစ်သည်။ တရုတ်လူမျိုး နက္ခတ္တပညာရှင်များအတွက်မူ ယင်းကြယ်သည် တောင်ဝင်ရိုးစွန်း အဘိုးအိုဟု သိကြသည်။
