တစ်နှစ်လျှင် တစ်ကြိမ်သာ ရာသီအလိုက်ပေါ်သည့်အပြင် အရသာထူးသော ဟင်းသီးဟင်းရွက်ပင်ဖြစ်သည့် ကညွတ်ပင်ကို လူများ အမြတ်တနိုး ဝယ်ယူစားသုံးကြသည်။ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင် မိုးဦးကျစ လများ၌ ကညွတ်များကို ဈေးထဲ၌ ရောင်းချကြသည်။ အနောက်နိုင်ငံတို့၌လည်း ကညွတ်ကို ကြိုက်နှစ်သက်သူများ၍ အစာထူး အစာဆန်း တစ်ရပ်အဖြစ်ဖြင့် ဈေးကြီးပေး၍ ဝယ်ယူစားသုံးကြသည်။

အပင် ပင်ပျော့ပင်ငယ်တစ်မျိုးဖြစ်၍ ၁၀ ပေထိမြင့်၏။ ကိုင်းဖြာ၏။ ပင်စည်လုံး အစိမ်းရောင်ရှိ၍ ချောမွေ့ပြီး ဖြောင့်မတ်သည်။ ပင်စည်ပေါ်တွင် အဝါရောင် ဆူးတောင့်ကြီးများရှိသည်။
