ရေသောက်မြစ်ရှိသော အပင် (Vascular plant) ဆိုသည်မှာ အပင်အတွက်လိုအပ်သော ရေနှင့် mineral များကို စုပ်ယူရန် လစ်နင် (Lignin) တစ်ရှူးများဖြင့် အသုံးပြုသည့် မြေပေါက်ပင်များ (Land plant) ဟု သတ်မှတ်သည်။ ရေသောက်မြစ်ရှိသော အပင်များသည် ဖိုတိုစင်းသစ်စစ်ဖြင့် ရရှိလာသောထုတ်ကုန်များကိုအသုံးပြုရန် လင်နစ် တစ်ရှူးမဟုတ်သော phloem ကို အသုံးချရာ၌လည်း ကျွမ်းကျင်ကြသည်။ ယင်းအပင်များသည် ကြီးမားသောအပင်အုပ်စုဖြစ်ပြီး ခန့်မှန်းခြေ မျိုးစိတ်ပေါင်း ၃၀၀,၀၀၀ ခန့် ရှိကြသည်။^[၄] ရေသောက်မြစ်ရှိသော အပင်များတွင် ပန်းပွင့်သော အပင်များ၊ (angiosperms) အစေ့ရှိအပင်များ၊ (gymnosperms) ဒရင်ကောက်ပင်များ၊ (ferns) မြင်းမြီးနှင့်တူသောအပင်၊ (horsetail) နှင့် Clubmoss များပါဝင်သည်။ အုပ်စုအတွက် သိပ္ပံအမည်မှာ Tracheophyta,^[၅]^[၃]^:251 Tracheobionta^[၆] နှင့် Equisetopsida sensu lato တို့ဖြစ်ကြသည်။ အစောပိုင်းကာလ အချို့သော မြေပေါက်ပင်များသည် ရေသောက်မြစ် တစ်ရှူး ဖွံ့ဖြိုးခဲ့သည်။ အခြားသော ရေသောက်မြစ်ပါသော အပင်များအားလုံးကို eutracheophyte ဟု သုံးနှုန်းသည်။
